Unexpected suspension of classes

Following with the clashes between the Arm Forces of the Philippines and the Bangsamoro Army, the mission of the proud mentors failed to implement their duties and responsibilities. They cannot hold their students for fear of being affected by this conflicts. We tried to explain them, how the war goes, but their parents do not grant. Most of these students walk more than four kilometers away from their home. The reigning roar of bombs and 105 powerful sounds, keep the school ground like an intensity of earthquake. The bombs do not directly drop to our grounds but they dropped to our neighboring barangay.

Millions of livelihood of the affected areas collapsed because it happens to be in harvest seasons. As this post was written, the bombs still roar that uncover our entire awareness.

What will happen to the student if the war still continue? Do we need to to have indistinct vacation? Oh God! This is a reality that really that affect us mentors.

The barracks of the government military is just kilometers away from our school. This adds tension to hundreds of our students. Accordingly, as fatigues Uniforms mingled with us mentors and students, precautions are provided to avoid another form of diversity. These students have already phobia on fatigue Uniforms as they presented showers of bullets, and is true to both opposing force. We cannot distinguish which sides of these force will affect us. Bullets do not provide markers for us to be an exemption, especially that we are on the said affected area.

Our students leave in the school campus, giving them assurance that the condition will be over. They can again enjoy in the same playground they used to, with their classmates and school mates. They will be missing each other as we missed them too. We that hope the war will be over.

The Induction Party and oath Taking of Officers

The oath taking ceremony done by Khalil T. Mustapha to students who won in the previous elections. Najjib Disomnong won as Student Government President, 2008. The filing of candidacy of aspirants was base on academic records and residence in the school. This is to make sure any winner could automatically awarded as Outstanding Leader of the Year. The newly elected SSG president has swift a lead over Hania Montila and Johaimen Tampogao. All of them are qualified but the students choose wisely.

The oath of office to Elected Parents, Teachers and community officers was inducted by the School principals, done according to rank.

The Bangsamoro Fighting with the AFP/News

Week before the Holy month of Ramadan the school and the students wee surviving threat brought by the Arm conflicts of the Government and the The Bangsa moro Army. Tracing back with the frustrated signing of the MOAD, the so called agreement by the Government and the Moro people as the ends for peace and order in Muslim-Mindanao. The abandonment of the said MOAD, keep the Moro people displease especially that more and more politicians disown he said agreement. The fighting ground includes our place and our locality.
Some Army officials claim that this place is the home of Commander Bravo, that is why they strongly hold it force. The community and the students suffer a major distractions of holding their classes regularly. As to our school, we handle our classes as schedule although other students do not attend, fearing to meet the the massive distraction done by the Arm Forces of the Philippines.
We are not in proper position to blog related incidents but the news have broke out inside and out of this Municipality. Some schools both elementary and high school were use as Evacuation center or sub-camp of the Army. Though we are not directly affected but our students who heals from the neighboring barangay refuse to go schooling. I will really refuse to go into details how this conflicts affect us. I only knew that I have a hard time explaining to my students how and why we must refrain ourselves from getting involve in the on going war between the government forces and the Moro Army. The innocence mind of our students hurt us to go further and let them understand.
We hope that this war will end early as possible for it really affects our students...

Soon to be Schoolars

We have only five boys in
the senor level.
This an unsolved problem
of the school. As the year
level of the students goes high,
the number of boys decreases.
Saidamin Mama was
a tranferee student from
sophomore and Nasroding
has just transferred from
Iligan City. I can guessed that Nasroding could

be a victim of the frustrated
signing of the MOA-Ad.
The war begun as the MOA-Ad
had TRO from the Supreme Court.
Afraid to be affected by the war,
he seek for another school just
to catch the examinations to be
conducted here in Midanao State
University. Of the five boys,
we Johaimen Tampogao, Suaeb
Omar and Najjib Disomnong as our Loyalty awardees for the year end

Najjib Disomnong
happily texting
to unknown
textmate.
He is our
coming
Leadership
Awardee.

Sweet dreams
to the boys! Be sure to pass the exams!

Day before the Scholarship Admission System Examinations Of the Mindanao State University, I've given a day to refresh and renew their feeling, forget the hardest tasks of review in four areas covered by the said examinations. A day for joy, singing, long walk and internet surfing.
Two days before the said examinations, I confiscated all their review materials to allow their mind think freely. Base on my observations, it is not advisable to confuse student with so many things during examinations.

You must have good dreams....I added! Think positive, imagining that you will be among with those lucky students, befitting with all the benefits that students can have in the said University.

One of our tasks is an extension of services and bring them to the portal of the said University. This is one weapon for them to succeed because these students belong to the lower income profile. We hope they can make it.

Mindanao State University-SASE

The Students…rushing to sit under the shade of Mindanao State University

August 23, of this year, all senior students from all angles in the Island of Mindanao wake up early, like early birds of dawn to take the Mindanao State University traditional Scholarship Admission Examinations. Every body is hopeful to be a scholar of this University, being the only hope for poor and deserving students. As early as 6:30 in the morning, some students were on the queuing lines in front of MSU- Integrated School to gamble for a chance in a life time. The first batch was scheduled at 7:30 in the morning that is why the crowd was noticed earlier than the required time.

This traditional system of this University has helped the Community, the parents and the students. This minimizes the economic as well as peace and order condition of the neighboring Municipalities and the country in general. We can picture thousands of graduates in different colleges of this University, cradled and nourished mentally and spiritually with a minimum financial problem of parents. We cannot blame students to rush and be adopted by this University. Nonetheless, if student failed to pass the Scholarship Examinations, the University is opening another door for success…the College Bound Program. There were students who failed in the Scholarship Examinations not because of intellectual incapacity but they were merely pressured by time. Those students can enjoy the said program, offering them chance as University Scholar and acquire a Bachelors Degree of their choice and to the best of their capacity.

Bearing simple requirements, interested students can attend with their application dully certified by their respective School Principals in High School. To a school like ours who feel the economic crisis deeply, we accompany our students to the portal of this University, keeping them our prayers for possible passing score in this connection. From the entrance of our school, we gave them our blessings, thus brought them to cry and asked ALLAH (S.W.T.) to provide them all the blessings intended for youth seeking for knowledge. They cry as we mentors shed tears, giving them our blessing for any short comings they might have towards us. We believed that student who hails similar to this locality can consider Mindanao State University to be their only weapon to seek knowledge and to have more advancement in life. The major source of income in this locality is farming, thus discriminate their chance of proceeding to College. It is impossible to study in any private school. The existence of this University has solved the educational aspirations of students and the parents.

As mentors, our hearts were with them…wishing them all the lack for passing the said Examinations, if not, may be for just a portion of privileges given to able and interested students.

Wishing you all the best… we hope your dreams been realize.
